How to Use Review Toolbar
 by: David Feinleib

If you haven’t heard of Review Toolbar, you are being left behind. You are also missing out on the best websites on the Internet today! The Review Toolbar is a toolbar that sits with other toolbars on your web browser, such as Internet Explorer. It can be used to see how websites rate, using a star system, to read reviews written by real people for websites, and even to add your own reviews of the websites that you visit. Review Toolbar can even be used to keep track of your favorite websites with a flag system.

Getting the Review Toolbar is easy. Start by visiting www.reviewtoolbar.com . Download the free Review Toolbar, and install it. The download and install can typically be done in less than five minutes. As soon as you are finished downloading and installing the toolbar, go back to www.reviewtoolbar.com and register for a free account. You will need a free account to see the websites you have flagged and to add your own reviews.

Using the Review Toolbar is also very easy. Even if you have only had your very first computer for one day, you can quickly learn how to best utilize the Review Toolbar, and make it work for you. Start by clicking on the arrow beside ‘Review Toolbar’ and select ‘settings.’ Here you will put your username and password that you used to sign up for the Review Toolbar account. This will instantly log you in each time you want to submit a review, read a review, or see your flagged websites.

The next thing on the toolbar is five stars. These stars represent how highly a website has been rated on average. One star is the worst possible rating, and five stars means that the website you are visiting is of the highest quality. Next to the stars you will see the number of reviews that the website you are visiting has received. If you click on that button, a separate browser window will open so that you can read the reviews that other Review Toolbar members have written about that particular website.

The next item on the Review Toolbar is ‘Rate This Site’ followed by five gray colored stars. Here, you can simply click one of the stars to rate a site. If you just hold your mouse over each star, it will tell you what that star represents. For instance, if you hold your mouse over the first star, a small box should appear that says ‘rate this site as bad.’ After viewing the site, simply choose the star that you feel best represents what you found at the website.

Next is an icon of paper. If you hold your mouse over this, it says ‘add a new review.’ If you push this button, a small box opens up. Here you will choose your rating, and write a short review of the site. Remember that millions of other people will view what you have written, so make sure that your review is accurate. When you hit the send button, another web browser window will open, informing you that the review has been stored in the database, and that it is now available in the list of reviews for that website.

The final feature of the Review Toolbar is the flag. The flag is located right next to the ‘new review’ button, and resembles a golf tee flag a bit. With one simple push of this button, the website you are currently visiting will be added to your list of flagged sites. This list resides in your account at www.reviewtoolbar.com . It is easily accessible, and can be used to store your favorite sites, to flag sites for research, or any other reason you might want to mark a site. Websites can be removed from the list easily as well.

Finally, if you need to change any of your account information, such as your email address, simply login to your account at www.reviewtoolbar.com and click on ‘My Account.’ Make the necessary changes, and simply hit the ‘save’ button. The Review Toolbar is not only one of the easiest web surfing tools that you will ever find; it will quickly become one of your most useful browsing tools. You will learn how to quickly locate the best websites on the Internet – in a matter of seconds – simply by using the Review Toolbar.

Also, with the Review Toolbar, nothing is set in stone; you can easily login and change any reviews that you have done instantly. Simply click on ‘my reviews’ and make the necessary changes. This way, when sites that you have reviewed have made changes that make the site better, you can change your review to match the changes found at the site. This is one way of making the Internet more useful for everyone!
